1/29/21 - MAYO CLINIC in March

Hello Everybody, thank you again for all your prayers and support. I can’t begin to tell you how much this means to Dave and I.

Well, I found out this week that the PET Scan I just had done wasn’t the same one that is used at the Mayo Clinic. Evidently the PET scan I had done at Providence ST. Vincents is called a PET/ CT Scan and the PET scan I did at Mayo clinic in October is a PET/ MRI scan, and that there aren't very many of these kinds of PET /MRI machines in the United States. So my Dr. at the Mayo clinic doesn’t want to just go by the scan report I had done here until I have the PET / MRI Scan done at the Mayo Clinic.

This doesn't mean I didn’t have a shrinkage of tumor, like my current scan report says, he just wants to do his scan and make any diagnosis of my cancer changes off his PET/MRI machine. So yes I was a little disappointed, but it doesn't mean the news I got from my oncologist wasn’t correct, it just means that I will have a more in debt report after my new scan.

We also found out my appointment at Mayo has been changed, and we will now go back to Minnesota Mayo in March. My Mayo Dr. also would like me to do 2 more chemo rounds, before he sees me.

This Monday Feb 1, will be my 8th round of chemo, and I am doing ok, except, it does take its toll, and I now have fewer good days in between rounds, but with my wonderful husband pulling me through each day, I am doing fine. I am so lucky and truly so grateful I have soooooooo much love and support from all of you, thank you again for everything. I love you all. -Amy
