Hi Amy, What a great idea - I believe it was Steve who thought it up. It was such a shock hearing about your diagnosis. Life seems so unfair at times and especially to someone with such a kind and gentle soul as yours Amy. But you and your family are taking life's worst cards and turning it into a royal flush for the rest of us.
Our life is filled with so many things - the days can go by in a flash. This has given me pause, reason to think what is truly important in life.
We were at the beach when I talked to Dave and got this web address. I started thinking about the What Would Amy Do team. I realized that there was something that I could do right away the next time we were out walking to the beach or wherever. It's a simple thing but I made an effort to make a connection to others in passing. Making a sincere hello and how are you with a smile and if there was an opportunity there to engage in more conversation. I did this throughout the rest of our trip and found how good it felt to me to be more open and aware of the people around us and hopefully brightened someone else's day along the way.
Your band will be a reminder to us to think twice about our day to day lives and try to find opportunities to do a little good here and there in this world.
Know that Ted & I are here praying and routing for you.
A little kindness - just what we need today. Thank you Candello family. ❤️
